For real editing, like most people I prefer a dedicated image editor such as or Gimp. The one exception is that sometimes I use XnView for quick-and-dirty batch operations, like resizing and watermarking a whole bunch of pictures in one simple go. I almost never use the limited built-in editing features of any image viewer. It’s like having six near-identical spoons in your kitchen drawer: you just grab one of them.
